Il team GYTR GRT Yamaha torna a correre in Italia

Il GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team affronta il secondo round «di casa» della stagione al Cremona Circuit, nel weekend 25–27 settembre, per il Round 10 del 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship. In pista ci saranno Remy Gardner e Stefano Manzi.

Preparazione e test

Dopo un fine settimana solido a Magny‑Cours, Gardner si presenta a Cremona con l’obiettivo di proseguire il miglioramento: ha partecipato a una giornata di test sul circuito dopo la tappa francese. La sessione è stata interrotta dalla pioggia, ma il pilota australiano è riuscito comunque a completare alcuni giri in condizioni asciutte.

Stefano Manzi, reduce dal titolo WorldSSP 2025, arriva invece motivato dal fatto che Cremona gli ha riservato buoni ricordi: lo scorso anno ottenne una doppietta in questo impianto. Anche lui ha sfruttato il test post‑Magny‑Cours per prendere confidenza con la pista, con alcune uscite utili prima del weekend di gara.

Programma del weekend

Il programma prevede le Free Practice del venerdì. Sabato la Superpole si svolgerà alle 11:15 (ora locale) e Race 1 prenderà il via alle 15:30. Domenica è in calendario la Superpole Race alle 11:10, seguita da Race 2 alle 15:30 (ora locale).

Remy Gardner:
“I’m looking forward to another round at a place where we’ve had some decent races in the past. After Magny‑Cours, we’re confident that we can take another step forward following a positive weekend there, and I can’t wait to get back on the bike. We also had a test day in Cremona after the French Round, where we managed to complete some dry laps. Unfortunately, the rain stopped us from riding any further, but it was still useful preparation ahead of the race weekend.”

Stefano Manzi:
“I’m looking forward to enjoying a good weekend in Cremona, with the goal of having some strong races there. I’ve been quick at this circuit in the past, so I hope we’ll be able to put in a strong performance again. It will also be the second home round for me and the team, so we have some extra motivation heading into the weekend. We had the opportunity to complete some laps during a one‑day test after the Magny‑Cours weekend, and it was good to be back on the bike, even if the session was cut short by the rain. In any case, I can’t wait to be in Cremona. See you all there!”

Il team e i piloti torneranno in pista per le prove libere di venerdì, con l’obiettivo di sfruttare la conoscenza della pista e i riscontri del test per impostare al meglio la gara.
