É di Robert Huff il miglio tempo del warm-up appena concluso sul tracciato di Valencia. L’inglese della Chevrolet ha distanziato di due decimi il compagno di squadra Yvan Muller. Alle loro spalle si è piazzato un buon Michelizs, pronto a riservare qualche sorpresa nelle due gare del pomeriggio. A seguire il trio di super-esperti formato da Alain Menu sulla terza Cruze della RML, Gabriele Tarquini con la sua Seat Leon del Lukoil Racing e infine Tom Coronel al volante della BMW 320TC del ROAL Motorsport. In top-ten anche le due Ford Focus di Nash e Chilton, rispettivamente settimo e nono con Stefano D’Aste intramezzato tra loro. Più indietro i nostri Cerqui, sedicesimo, e Di Sabatino, diciottesimo. Problemi tecnici per Oriola, incapace di completare un giro cronometrato.
